Samotnosc / Solitude

Chcialabym…
stac sie lisciem porwana przez wiatr
zanurzyc dusze w strumieniu gorskim
zlapac w dlonie usmiech I przycisnac go do serca
O czym mysli?
Bez nadziei, bez wiary w cokolwiek, bez usmiechu…
Jest taki jak my wszyscy czasem; czesto; zawsze… – sam.

I who lived in a harbour from which I loved you
The solitude crossed with dream and with silence.
Penned up between the sea and sadness
Soundless, delirious, between two motionless gondoliers.
[Neruda]
I’d like…
to be a leaf kidnapped by the wind
to sink my soul in a mountainous stream
to catch a smile and hold it close to heart
to cuddle to a tree and to believe that it can hear my thoughts
When I want to escape from the world I go to a stony amphitheatre overlooking the bay. Each time when I’m there I see a boy sitting hours with his head between knees or hopelessly staring at the islands.
What is he thinking about?
Without hope, without faith in anything, without smile…
He is as we all are sometimes; often; always… - alone.
